While at the kiddie pool

Eamonn: Dragonfly. Dragonfly. Look a dragonfly.
Me: (on other side of kiddie pool) yeah buddy, a dragonfly.
Eamonn: Dragonfly.
Me: (walking over to see what he's looking at) Eamonn,that's a bee. Not a dragonfly.
Eamonn: nice bee.
Me: don't touch the bee.
Eamonn: (looking at another bee) look a butterfly. Butterfly. Butterfly.

Listentome

Eamonn: listentome listentome listentome
Me: listen to me
Eamonn: yeah! Listentome listentome listentome
Me: ok buddy
Eamonn: (starts poking my belly) hippo! Hippo! Hippo! Yay! Hippo!
Me: Stop!
Eamonn: Stop! Stop! Stop! Hahahaha (pokes me some more) hippo! Hippo!

This is a typical conversation lying in my bed.

SORRY!

Eamonn: say sorry
Me: say sorry
Eamonn: sorry (apologetic voice) yay! I sorry! (claps hands)

He does this when he knows he should say sorry, but he's prompting us to tell him to say sorry.  It's pretty stinking adorable.  It's also part of his echolalia.  he will repeat "say sorry" repeatedly if I don't respond right away.

DISHWASHER!

Me: who's this? (point to Aisling)
Eamonn : Aisling
Me: who's this? (point to Moira)
Eamonn : Moira
Me : who's this? ( point to Eamonn )
Eamonn : dishwasher!

Eyes!

Eamonn: (repetedly poking me in the eye) Eyes.  Eyes.  Eyes.  Eyes balls.
Me: (squeezing my eyes shut) Yup.  Those are my eyes.
Eamonn: I.  Lub. Eyes Balls. (pretends to pick my eye ball up with his thumb and forefinger and pretends to eat it) Yum yum yummy.  mmm... Eyes balls.

Me: (asleep in bed, possibly nursing Aisling.)
Eamonn : (kicks S in the face)
Me: owe! Eamonn, don't kick me in the face!
Eamonn : yay! I kick! Great job kick! (claps hands)


He thinks everything he does deserves a round of applause...

Me: these are your eyebrows (points to E's eyebrows)
Eamonn: (touches eyebrows) eyebrows!
 Me: this is your forehead (points to E's forehead)
Eamonn: five head! (points to forehead)

We're getting there!

TAMPON!

Eamonn: more candy! (he hands me a tampon in a wrapper) more candy, more candycane open!?
 Me: sorry buddy, it's not candy.
Eamonn: candy! I. Want. Candycane.
Me: it's a tampon (takes tampon away)
Eamonn: tampon! I. Want. Tampon. (then he has a little meltdown)

ROUGH

Eamonn: (head butting me in the face)
Me: Ow, thats rough, be gentle (using his hand to show him gentle) gentle, gentle...
Eamonn: (PUNCHES me in the mouth) ROUGH!!!


He gets the concept....
