TAMPON!

Eamonn: more candy! (he hands me a tampon in a wrapper) more candy, more candycane open!?
Me: sorry buddy, it's not candy.
Eamonn: candy! I. Want. Candycane.
Me: it's a tampon (takes tampon away)
Eamonn: tampon! I. Want. Tampon. (then he has a little meltdown)

  1. Awww....poor guy! Too funny. It is hard when they just don't understand. He just knows what he wants. My brother who also has autism would be very determined also. But the things he said were so funny and sometimes even profoundly poetic. They are very special children.

Autumn around 2 1/2 was caught with a bunch of unwrapped tampons which she told me were firecrackers...lol. I guess they do have a wick ;)
